Some of Deliah's favorite pieces are the ones where creativity and personal memories come together.
Textiles are one of Deliah's favorite mediums. Over the years she has designed and crafted many pieces of apparel, but one of her most treasured projects is a quilt made for her daughter and son-in-law from fabric scraps saved from garments she created for her daughter from infancy through adulthood.
This photograph of Deliah was not taken by her, but the setup was her idea. So many times, one of the greatest challenges for an artist is simply deciding what to create. This photograph represents that creative struggle in many ways—the pause, the possibilities, and the moment before inspiration takes shape.
